Il y a quelques mois la chanteuse KOKIA était passé à Paris, à La Cigale, pour un concert anniversaire, marquant son retour après des années sans concert en France.
A vrai dire c’était plutôt sympa et KOKIA, en bonne vendeuse, nous propose de revivre ce moment avec la sortie d’un double DVD !
Il s’intitule Journey to Me (ça ne s’invente pas), il est vendu uniquement sur son site web car il s’agit d’une auto-édition-production.
Depuis bientôt 10 ans, KOKIA abreuve ses fans de DVD, disques et autres goodies, par l’intermédiaire de sa maison de production ancoro. Une stratégie très maligne qui permet à KOKIA d’éviter les intermédiaires et de se maintenir à flot dans une époque ou les petits artistes galèrent.
En toute honnêteté, même si les prix sont parfois abusifs, KOKIA propose un vrai contenu avec une plus-value appréciable. Quel plaisir pour les fans de pouvoir se procurer chaque année un DVD ou un disque de chansons inédites (même si c’est son truc neuneu sur les animaux). Je rêverai que des artistes que j’adore comme Akino Arai ou Emiko Shiratori utilisent les mêmes méthodes. Je pense que c’est le seul moyen fiable d’être rentable et de se maintenir en activité.
Dans ce double DVD, on retrouvera l’intégralité de son concert parisien, alterné avec des petits clips (genre ballade à Paris, backstage, etc…) et des interviews. De plus, des chansons de son concert en Chine seront également présent sur ces disques.
La cover, un rien amateur (détourage douteux, c’est clairement un montage, ou alors fortement retouché), ne manque pas d’humour, puisque KOKIA fait référence à la pluie parisienne qui n’a pas cessée durant son séjour en France.
Voilà, avis aux amateurs ! Personnellement j’ai toujours eu un certain plaisir à redécouvrir tranquillement un concert que j’ai vaincu en direct !

Il m’a l’air bien sympathique ce double dvd, pou moi qui n’ai pas pu assister à son concert… je me laisserai sûrement tenter malgré les frais de port abusés… mais bon il faut bien plébisciter l’auto production et l’auto édition… merci pour l’article !
Je suis d’accord. Perso j’achète toujours des disques, mais je le fait d’autant plus quand il s’agit d’auto-édition.
